The sheep being led to the slaughterhouse
True patriots fully support the war on Afghanistan, because it
is a 'war against the terrorists who bombed the WTC.' We have been 'Pearl
Harbored' and now 'America strikes back.' However the truth we are not being
told here is that the planning for the war on Afghanistan was in full swing
months before the WTC bombing. This something well known among the powerful in
high positions in the region around Afghanistan who were 'brought on board'
for the planned attack as early as last summer.
The following article
from the end of June reports on the agreement of both India and Iran to be 'on
board' for the attack on Afghanistan as the American government was already
busy in the region building an anti-Afghanistan war coalition.

June 2001: India and Iran will "facilitate" US and Russian plans for "limited
military action" against the Taliban if the contemplated tough new economic
sanctions don't bend Afghanistan's fundamentalist regime ...
Indian
officials say that India and Iran will only play the role of "facilitator"
while the US and Russia will combat the Taliban from the front with the help
of two Central Asian countries, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, to push Taliban
lines back to the 1998 position 50 km away from Mazar-e-Sharief city in
northern Afghanistan. (Note that this is exactly what happened.) ...
Diplomats say that the anti-Taliban move followed a meeting between US
Secretary of State Collin Powel and Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov and
later between Powell and Indian foreign minister Jaswant Singh in Washington.
Russia, Iran and India have also held a series of discussions and more
diplomatic activity is expected ...
Officials say that the Northern
Alliance requires a "clean up" operation to reduce Taliban's war-fighting
machinery to launch an attack against the Taliban advance to the Tajik-Afghan
border. This "clean up" action is being planned by the US and Russia since the
Taliban shows no "sign of reconciliation". (Note: once again everything went
exactly as planned last summer)...
Such Central Asian countries as
Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan are threatened by the
Taliban that is aiming to control their vast oil, gas and other resources by
bringing Islamic fundamentalists into power. Now all the CIS nations are
seeking assistance of Russia's Federal Border Guard Service to overcome the
Taliban threat ... India, Iran and Russia, for example, are working on a broad
plan to supply oil and gas to south Asia and southeast Asian nations through
India but instability in Afghanistan is posing a great threat to this effort
... India's official position is for a "peaceful and lasting solution" to the
Afghan problem. But it strongly advocates strict economic sanctions against
Taliban and is also not averse to a "limited military action" to weaken it.
India plans to raise the Afghanistan issue in the forthcoming G-8 summit in
Geneva in mid-July.
Now given that we are not, as patriotic
sentiment has it, 'fighting in Afghanistan because of the terrlorist attacks,'
the Twin Towers were still standing in June, this leaves a couple of other
possibilities to consider. Perhaps the planning for an attack on Afghanistan
was in the interests of 'human rights' and was being planned so that Afghan
women would not have to wear their viels and Afghan men could finally enjoy
the human right of shaving their beards. Or then perhaps it was being planned
because of oil and gas pipelines. The Taliban, although being invited to Texas
by officials of UNOCAL and wined and dined, had rejected overtures to develope
a gas pipeline through the country, a requirement for Gas and oil from the
Caspian to reach the sea.
"The twin towers attacks provided Bush's
Washington with both a trigger and a remarkable coincidence. Pakistan's former
foreign minister Niaz Naik has revealed that he was told by senior American
officials in mid-July that military action against Afghanistan would go ahead
by the middle of October. The US secretary of state, Colin Powell, was then
travelling in central Asia, already gathering support for an anti-Afghanistan
war 'coalition'. For Washington, the real problem with the Taliban was not
human rights; these were irrelevant. The Taliban regime simply did not have
total control of Afghanistan: a fact that deterred investors from financing
oil and gas pipelines from the Caspian Sea, whose strategic position in
relation to Russia and China and whose largely untapped fossil fuels are of
crucial interest to the Americans. In 1998, Dick Cheney told oil industry
executives: 'I cannot think of a time when we have had a region emerge as
suddenly to become as strategically significant as the Caspian.'" John Pilger 'The truth they never
told us'
You might also want to keep in mind here that we will be
attacking '50 (or 60) countries' and that we will be 'warring for the rest of
our lives' (at least, according to Dick Cheney as he repeated this statements
numerous times over the last month to, I imagine, 'prepare the American
people' for what is to come) ...
After considering the ridiculous
scenario of bombing in 50 or 60 countries and the even more unthinkable
scenario of permanent, never ending warfare, and then try to imagine getting
war support among the public for 'warring for the rest of their lives'. Ocer
the course of the last century the United States has flouted democracy,
overthrowing democratically elected leftist goverments around the world, were
in deep in what the Indonesians called 'the year of living dangerously' when
the Kap Gestapu, using lists of names supplied by U.S. intelligence,
slaughtered hundreds of thousands of Indonesian leftists. Whether it was
overthrowing the governments of Iran, Nicaragua, or trying to defeat Ho Chi
Mihn in Vietnam, again and again and again over the course of the last century
the American government has sent a clear message around the world that
peaceful change is not possible, and that the Empire will always strike back
to protect the wealth of the oligarchs who control most of the money and
almost all the land in the poorest nations on earth. And now with the pot
apparently coming to a boil, we hear this chatter about 'warring against these
people for the rest of our lives' with our gun sights on '50 or 60 nations'
where, once again, following a long, long tradition of installing and
supporting right wing dictators around the globe, the United States will once
again send a very loud, and very clear message to the planet that oligarchs
and wealthy interests will be protected at all costs, even the cost of
perpetual warfare, and sending countless American sheep out to the
slaughterhouse. At least you cannot say you are not being 'prepared' for what
is being planned for you and your people. You cannot say you were not warned
that you are sheep being led to the slaughterhouse. As you have been prepared
by the secretary of defense, this will be, he has said repeatedly as well, 'a
long, bloody, and messy war', not a short war, it won't be over soon, as the
empire desperately tries to keep the lid on things, more of that send in the
contras, topple the democratically elected leftist gov't stuff that
characterized the last century, only this time without the contras, the
marines will be needed instead) ...

A history of U.S.

The U.S. State department tried to block release of
the following documents revealing their complicity and the complicity of the
CIA in the massacre of leftist Indonesian civilians (but now that the law is
in the process of being changed, and we can no longer find out what
President's were up to, I imagine soon enough we won't be able to find out
what the CIA and the State Department were up to, so enjoy your 'right to
know' and the 'freedom of information while you can...)

Now if Sept. 11th is not enough to shore up
suipport for administration war policies (warring forever, something that
would be real hard to justify and get support for) then one can easily imagine
America being attacked by Poland, or getting another Gulf of Tonkin incident
done on those niave patriotic Americans (love it and everything it does, or
leave it, right?), or one can easily imagine America getting 'Pearl Harbored'
while their innocent backs were turned to shore up support among the patriotic
American public should they flag, and tire of endless warfare, lasting for
years and years, for the rest of their lives as those sheep are led to the
slaughterhouse. Given the history of the abuse of power throughout human
history I assume that the American people will get just enough terrorism done
to them to shore up support for war even it takes the rest of the natural
lives. We are living in very dangerous times. The recent 'Bin Laden confession
tape' was a fraud. But with digital computer technology improving soon Bin
Laden will confess on cue, I'll confess, you'll confess if you need to as
well, and patriotic Americans will buy it all, just as the Germans bought it
all in the generation before them, phony Reichstag fires and phony attacks by
Poland and what Hitler called 'the Communist terrorists' who were endangering
Germany, something most of the German firmly believed was true, being those
sheep being led off to the slaughterhouse.

"Do you want to know the cause of
war? It is capitalism, greed, the dirty hunger for dollars. Take away the
capitalist and you will sweep war from the earth." Henry Ford "Corporations
have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow ...
until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the republic is destroyed."
Abraham Lincoln "I spent thirty- three years and four months in active
military service as a member of this country's most agile military force, the
Marine Corps. I served in all commissioned ranks from Second Lieutenant to
Major-General. And during that period, I spent most of my time being a high
class muscle- man for Big Business, for Wall Street and for the Bankers. In
short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I could have given Al
Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three
districts. I operated on three continents." Marine Corps Commandant Smedley

Let me tell you, how unwelcome is the
dissenting voice, how furiously angered those sheep become when they are
confronted with the uncomfortable, the words that patriotic sheep just don't
want to hear, how hard it is to pasture those sheep, those sheep destined for
the slaughterhouse...
The shepherds slaughter them, and go unpunished

Zechariah 11
Thus said YAHWEH my God: "Become shepherd
of the sheep doomed to the slaughterhouse. Those who buy them slaughter them
and go unpunished; and those who buy and sell them say, ‘Praise the LORD, I
have become rich’; even their own shepherds have no pity on them. For I will
no longer have pity on the inhabitants of this land, says YAHWEH. Lo, I will
cause them to fall under the power of their shepherds, and each into the hand
of their king; and they shall crush the earth, and I will save none of these
people from their hand." So I became the shepherd of the sheep doomed to be
slaughtered for the benfit of those who trafficked in the sheep. And I took
two staffs; one I named Grace, the other I named Union. And I tended the
sheep... but they hated me. So I said, "I will not be your shepherd. What is
to die, let it die; what is to be destroyed, let it be destroyed; and let
those that are left devour the flesh of one
another."
